History of Multan
Multan is one of the oldest cities in the world. It is famous for its saints in the world. Multan is the one of the main cities of Pakistan. If we talk about its population then the number of Multan is fifth in Pakistan. Area of Multan is about 133 square km. The nearest river of Multan is Chenab. In other words it is situated on the banks of this river. Multan is famous for its shrine of Bahaudin Zakaria. There also many other famous shrines in the city of Multan. Multan has 6 gates which are known as Lohari gate, Dolut gate, Deli gate etc.
There is also a government university in Multan which is known as BZU. There are also many other private sector universities in Multan. There also many branches of Virtual University in Multan city. VU has high standard in distance learning in Pakistan. Bise Multan board is one the top ranked board in Punjab and Pakistan. It sets high standard in education. Multan has become political and economical powerful city. Multan is surrounded by small cities like Muzafar Garh, Lodhran and Vehari etc.
Bise Multan board is responsible for managing Middle and SSC level exams in the district. Multan board came into being one 30 March 1968. Since then it is managing all the exams in the district. There also many private schools and colleges in the district Multan. Usually matriculation exams held in the month of March in the Bise Multan board. After the exams of Matriculation, intermediate level exams take place in the month of May. Bise Multan board is one of the large boards of Pakistan in terms of its students who take part in the exams of Matriculation and intermediate level.
On average about 280000 students take part in Matriculation examinations each year. On the other hand about 250000 students on average take part in the intermediate level examinations. There is a survey that about 10% students are increasing each year in Bise Multan board. The standard of Bise Multan board is high due to well management of board in all examinations.
